1. Supplier-Specific Return Policies
Each supplier on our platform maintains their own return window (e.g., 14 days, 30 days) and specific requirements for "change of mind" returns.
- Review Before Purchase: You are required to review the specific supplier's return policy located on the product page or supplier profile before completing your transaction.
- Return Authorization: Most suppliers require you to contact them for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping an item back. Unauthorized returns may not be eligible for a refund.
2. The 90-Day Marketplace Guarantee
Regardless of a supplier's individual "change of mind" policy, all items are backed by our Mandatory 90-Day Warranty.
- Defective or "Not as Described" Items: If an item arrives damaged, is defective, or is significantly different from the listing description, the supplier must offer a return, replacement, or refund within 90 days of delivery.
- Standard Returns: For non-defective items (e.g., you changed your mind or ordered the wrong size), the individual supplier's specific return window and restocking fees will apply.
3. Refund Process & Timelines
Once a return is received and inspected by the supplier:
- Notification: We will do our best to notify you via email once the supplier confirms receipt and approval of your return.
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed back to your original method of payment.
- Timeline: Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to reflect on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
4. Shipping Costs for Returns
- Defective Items: If an item is being returned under the 90-day warranty for a defect, the supplier is generally responsible for return shipping costs.
- Discretionary Returns: For "change of mind" returns, the buyer is typically responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees, unless the supplier's specific policy states otherwise.

How to Initiate a Return
- Log into your Auto Part Search account.
- Go to "My Orders" and select the item you wish to return.
- Click "Contact Seller" or "Request Return" to notify the supplier.
- If a supplier does not respond within (e.g., 2 business days) or fails to honor the 90-day warranty, please contact support@autopartsearch.com.
