FAQ Category : Part Grading
Part grades (A, B, C or equivalent scale) reflect the condition of a used part as assessed by the URG-certified yard. Grade A is excellent condition with minimal wear; lower grades indicate cosmetic or minor functional wear.
Parts are graded by trained staff at the supplying URG-member recycling yard according to standardised Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) grading guidelines.
The grade is determined by the yard based on their inspection. You can filter search results by condition and contact the yard to confirm the specific grade before purchasing.
Not necessarily. A lower grade typically reflects cosmetic issues (scratches, surface rust) rather than functional defects. Each listing describes the specific condition so you can make an informed decision.
Mileage is self-reported by the yard based on the donor vehicle's odometer at the time of dismantling. While yards strive for accuracy, mileage is provided as an estimate and is not independently verified.
